Kinda sucks I spent about an hour getting here between waiting for boats, not being able to get on boats, and then the half hour boat ride itself and to just die like that before getting to do anything in the area.

One of Nasomi's quirks currently. It is what he has chosen to do to not have Besieged wrecking Al Zahbi for those that needed to get stuff done there in the past. With ToAU rollout it will be fixed sometime in the future I imagine but until then only re-enter the city from Posterns into Whitegate and definitely only leave town via Staging Point or chocobo.

Yikes. What a hard learned lesson of one of Nasomi's "quirks" I'm totally new to this area so I don't know what posterns and staging points are but I guess I'll go try and research them for next time I make the journey here. Thanks

This probably wasn't the first thing you've run into and it most certainly won't be the last. Just roll with the punches when things like this happen and keep grinding.
