Yes. Anything else is total trash. "Fun" or not, it's wrong to have anything else.
By this logic, Mog Sack/Satchel are also "total trash". We could argue all day about which non-retail aspects have more impact on the server, but the bottom line is Nasomi is not a complete-retail experience, and the "everything needs to match retail" argument gets used too often here and derails threads that actually have good discussion going on.
That being said, I'm a big fan of transparency and appreciate all the data you've collected so far as we try to figure out what the new system is because, like it or not, we're probably stuck with it.
I plan to start recording synth data and contributing as well. So far the gut feeling I get is that the moon/day/direction no longer matter, as you suggest. The HQ rates, however, don't seem to even come close to matching the 10/25/50% T1/T2/T3 rates anymore. T1's don't seem too far off, but T2/T3 seem significantly lower to me.
