I want to get an overall census on something I have been thinking about for some time.

I would like to see the old school "era" version of Dynamis - With a 3 day wait - and an Hourglass to enter. Now the Hourglass price does not need to be 1M, BUT this would be a proper gil sink for the server. It is clear that there is an abundance of currency (both gil and relic currency) in circulation. This would also cut down on people having several relics within a matter of months.

Please share your thoughts.

Depends on Hourglass price, I suppose. Our LS does dynamis runs mostly with large numbers (getting wins, and farming for fun), meaning the overall gil lost from entry might be LESS with the hourglass system. This would mostly hurt small-group farmers, which may not necessarily be a bad thing depending on Nas' viewpoint on how easy relics should be to get. (inb4 "wah wah, some people got relics during 'easy mode' it's not fair, blah blah blah")

I already did the relic grind on Retail, so I'm most likely not going to do it again here. So I have no real horse in this race except to re-live the "glory days" of classic dynamis, before SE decided to fck it all up. It was a fun event, and I'm glad it (mostly) works here.

I believe that an hourglass and a 3 day wait would bring the server closer together. I haven't been hard pressed to obtain a relic here because I as well did the glory grind on retail. That's a good point that you make with the hourglass possibly costing LESS at the end of the day depending on the entries.

I'd rather it stay the way it is honestly, all this does is hurt low-mans and make it so we have LESS content a week to do.

Maybe this would be good for other people to level other things while they wait? Increasing the amount of players LFG? Lots of different ways to view things.

Be open minded. There is clearly an abundance of players with relic weapons, not really much of a "wow" factor anymore here. There also seems to be a lot of niche groups (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, we all like to play with who we like to play with) that shun other players. This would gravitate people to work as a team to achieve greater goals.

That's clearly not going to be the case though, I see lots of players sit around doing nothing if they don't have content to do instead of going LFG. It's wishful thinking to think they would fill in the current exp gap. I'd rather a half compromise, leave the 24 cooldown in but do the hourglass thing. That way, you can still dynamis almost as much as you like but the gil sink is still there.

Overall I rather it stay the way it is, the gilsinks were in retail because of the enormous amount of gil injected into the economy by things like gardening, gilsellers and the like. Things we don't have on nasomi, prices are alot more reasonable here, therefore the need for a gilsink is not as strong as it once was.

I can agree here. Awesome input Toki.

Its been once a day for years, way too long to change it now since it wouldn't be fair to newer players. I personally only usually do dyna twice a week but doesnt mean I want everyone else to have a harder time.
