I've picked up whisperings of this issue in other threads but no hard evidence as it's quite hard to pin down - particularly with 100 sales slots its easy to miss.

However, I've been saving up recently and need about 1m for a purchase and so have been paying more attention to item sales and the issue happened to me yesterday.

I sold a Mythril Claymore on the 9th, just before some Darksteel ingots on the 10th, went to pick the money from the delivery box yesterday and sadly no 39k for the Claymore. I only noticed as they were the only high(ish) value items I sold. I really wish I'd taken some screen shots as I could have shown the sale in the delivery box page on the website account page and then me taking the items out of the delivery box but I didn't catch it until I'd taken everything out and was like - hang on, where's that 40k!

The glitch that I think is happening, is that mixed up with all the sales, I had an item returned (stack of bronze ingots) and I think this took up/overwrote the slot that the 39k should have been in. Weird I know and a hard bug to check/pin down - I'll message Nas but wanted to see if anyone else had had a similar experience!

You don't get a message in the log for the first delivery box slot. For others you get the 'You take the x gil ..'

Maybe that is what you are seeing.

That's true, you have to not chose an option, move along and back to it and then it does show the item/amount and is another reason I think people could be missing this happening, you just assume it was in there and move on. That wasn't the sale item money in question this time however as the items do show up in sale order history (I had a bunch or low value items, then the returned item then the Darksteel Ingots with the item sold before the Darksteel Ingots been the Claymore).

That's why I think the returned item mechanism has a glitch where it can overwrite the sale money...but that of course just be a coincidence.

It looks like Nas and Nabutso are taking a break from the game right now and not showing on IRC so will have to wait a little to report and hope they look into it. It's not really an issue given the sums involved here but could be if it affected a high value item sale...!
