Hello everyone. I'm coming back to the server and decided to just start fresh with a new account. The game seems to be running fine but I am having one, possibly two issues. This post is about my UI trouble. No matter what resolution I set the launcher to for the menu, the bottom of my chat window and bottom right health bar are off the screen. I have searched the forums for various fixes but as stated no matter what the setting the in game ui is off screen. I can still kinda play but it's very annoying to not see messages immediately and have to check my equipment bar for my health. I'd greatly appreciate any help with this. The second problem is in regards to character creation but I'm going to test it again tonight to make sure it's a problem.

This is an issue with the profile resolution settings in your ashita launcher. Make sure you have the menu resolution set to the same resolution as your background (which should also be a standard resolution size).

I selected 1920x1080 in the Ashita application and I was unable to see my chat text box area to enter my chat, and the top was a little off.

When I opened my xml for 1920 x 1080 it was actually set at - just right click and open with notepad

<setting name="window_x">1920</setting>
<setting name="window_y">1200</setting>

Simply change the 1200 back to 1080. This fixes it. Also, you can change your background.

You can find this file in your ashita folder, this my the file path for mine(still in the download folder):
C:\Users\name\Downloads\FINAL FANTASY XI\Ashita\Config\Boot

Okay, you seem to be quite familiar with manipulating a computron, but I am inclined to ask...

Your display resolution on your monitor is 1920x1080? Is your graphics driver recognizing this or rendering lower?

Did you try windowed mode with the border on?

Does the game fit on your screen using a 1600x900 window size?

No its still off screen with 1600x900. I have tried windowed and borderless. The 720 windowed is the only setting that the UI fits the window so I CAN play. Its just frustrating. I'm going to try to update my video card and see if it changes anything.

Try making sure the entire Folder is NOT in read only mode.. I had the same issue, and once I changed that it worked perfectly.

Make sure windows ui scaling is off.
