Hello^^ I found a really cool site! It may be helpful to look at in refreshing the memory of the oldschool ffxi exp camps. If you scroll down to "Alternate camps", there might be something on this list that will suit your party's needs. Good luck and have fun!

I'm glad I read your comment. I have seen this site and was a little disheartened that all of the 55+ areas are ToAU which we don't have. I didn't realize there was an alternative camp section! Thanks for posting.

Also in regard to the final list we should note that the BST pet mobs no longer give the exp they used to. It might still be decent; I haven't tried it, but it's nowhere near what it used to be.

I tried it once on Nasomi. Exp from pets is on the boarder line of OK. You get about as much as soloing an EP/DC mob, but with much more risk.

I would encourage people to only look at these retail era guides as very, very rough ideas of camps here on Nasomi. A lot of retail camps start and end earlier on Nasomi, e.g. from Campsitarus, 34-38 The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah (Lesser Gaylas/Ogrefly), 60-63 Labyrinth of Onzozo (Torama), 61-64 Bibiki Bay (Tragopan), 62-65 Boyahda Tree (Processionaire (aka Mourning Crawler)).

Beyond mob level/exp yield questions, there are a whole slew of other problems that render a lot of retail camps pointless here on Nasomi. Less pops is a real problem in a lot of places, and this is made worse by a one two punch of many camps being dungeons (16~ minute repops) and camps having a narrower level range, leading to faster kills sooner.

In addition, there's the issue of mob TP usage. I'll admit I haven't had as much time to play since the update due to lack of time, but from what I've heard the frequency of mob ws has not seen a big reduction. This greatly hurts the viability of most pre-ToAU camps, as the weapon skills the mobs use in many places are quite annoying/chain killing. Crabs can spam their annoying buffs quickly, Magic weapons spam whirl/smite of rage (and the ability comes out much faster after being "readied" than retail), etc. Adding to this, a lot of mob weapon skills, especially breath attacks, are more annoying here than retail. Everything from bubble shower, bomb toss, heat breath to foul breath are all annoying, bypass shadows, and will be drain on healer's MP as mobs spam them more than usual.

I expect to see the handful of half decent (KRT is really the only *decent* 6 man melee camp post-virus) camps that have been used pre-patch to continue to dominate the post 50+ exp scene, as there's a good reason that people stuck to LoO, KRT, Bibiki, and crawlers at Tree, rather than fighting manticores, steelshells, goobs, weapons etc. pre-level sync change.

Take the info from these sites and scout some of your own, and don't be surprised if it doesn't work quite as well as the guide's imply.

I also use Campsitarus as the camp list has very detailed information on how many mobs are available, preferred jobs to take advantage of mobs strengths / weaknesses, and where / how many camps there are in the area.

One downside of the guide is that the levels listed for each camp do not coincide with those camps on Nasomi. I would find a syncee at least one level lower than what is listed on the guide, but preferably two levels below.

6/21/17 EDIT: Mobs in areas that are included in GARUDA and UNICORN clusters are now +1 level higher than what is listed on Campsitarus. See the nasomi server status page to get an idea which areas those may be.

I use that site also, what i am looking for is a solo/duo guide for nasomi server which goes into detailcamps mobs and tactics for 1-75 as i am currently solo/duoing my rdm. I am making a guide with the best camps/mobs per lvl as i go but will be a long journey only playing a couple of hours a night atm

I have mentioned this to Nas but I'll post it here as well. Mob TP useage is WAY to high, not ANYWHERE near retail era values. They TP on average (with a 6 man party), once every 8-10 seconds. That is just insane, especially for mobs that have AoE damage. It's bad enough we can't do ToAU leveling, but post-50 is even harder because a lot of the mobs you're supposed to level on have some sort of AoE or -na required ability (Looking at you, LoO.... heck being a healer there...)

Bump. Can we bring this topic up again? I like to make parties but then everyone looks to me for where to camp and on that front I'm a little less sure, especially at the 50+ range. Given some of the differences between Nasomi and retail, it's love to hear where everyone likes to camp and good backup options for when a camp is full.
