Hello fellow FFXI players.

In my 10 year FFXI career, I've never touched Corsair. I know, it's crazy. So I had a few questions about the Nasomi version of Corsair:

1. Is it fully working? If not, what is missing?
2. Is Corsair instant invites like retail? I don't remember how it is on Nasomi, it's been a long time.
3. Is Corsair a job people generally include in endgame?
4. Is DD Corsair viable? Or just pure support? I ask because in retail, they pump out good damage.

Once I figure out why the install files keep getting corrupt, I'm gonna give Corsair a go. Pretty excited.

I've taken COR to 58 in recent months, and it's a damned fun job. DD is eh, but ranged damage is through the roof. You'll be running around so much that you won't get much chance to DD anyway. Definitely not a job for the lazy, you're gonna be going 100% all the time. I do rolls, ranged damage, quick draw which is pretty much guaratee crazy damage, and pulling, toss in a ws, keep auto attack up in case i get to swing something. Between shihei and bullets, it can get expensive though.

Oh right, ninja is a requirement for Cor I’m assuming. I have a fairly nicely setup level 73 blm, so money shouldn’t come too hard for me assuming clusters still selling good

What issue is it you're having with the install? I can fix anything.

I got the direct download off the website, spend the 45 minutes downloading it, then when I try to unrar it, it says the Nasomi.zip file is corrupt or something. I've tried downloading it twice, same result

Try the torrent. Alternatively, try running the installer after unrarring but before clicking "OK" on the error message. I've seen this happen before, doesn't have an impact on the install itself.

I'm trying the torrent as we speak. I did try just clicking "ok" on the error, but it wouldn't work. Let's see if the torrent goes better

I notice you guys talking about NIN sub, why not RNG? That was viable and even preferred in a lot of retail if I remember?

Yea, i understand COR wont DPS end game, however my static is set up in such a way that i will probably COR/RNG for suppprt and ranged dmg and our thf will pull. Do you guys know the specific rolls that arent available in this server?
