Yesterday I was fixing a Lu shang rod but the synth failed and lost the rod. The synth was on Sandy, so I was not attacked, neither a zone event happened. I was under the impression that you cant loose the rod during a failed synth. Is there something you can do?

I'd sit in NasChat until Nasomi can answer that. In era, you wouldn't have been able to lose the rod. No idea if this was unintended change or not.
