When I choose to enter the server shortly after choosing my name; it says it is checking name and Gold World Pass. I then get an error after waiting a few minutes: Error Code FFXI-3113 Protocol Timeout Error. I check the forums a little and didn't see anything, what might I be doing wrong?

Edit: I will also add that I have tried multiple different names, two of which were gibberish to see if that were the issue.

Glad to see I'm not the only one running into this issue. Find any fix for it yet friend?

Reboot the client inbetween each name attempt. If the first name you try is taken, it will say all names you try are taken.

Ya, i restarted my entire PC and got in with a name of choice. once it rejects one name I suspect it rejects all names. Close game, restart PC, try different name. rinse, repeat
