I did save the children. but now I am stuck, the guard posted at the gate won't take my crystals, (he keeps on repeating he needs more crystals). I am not sure what is the maneuver in this part of the game since I am a "new player". maybe am I doing something incorrect? anyway after repeating the quest save the children many times, I am a bit tired... can someone enlighten me?

if u did the save the children u should be rank 2 immdiately after talking to the mission npc. and be able to do "rescue drill"

no crystals needed may have to zone after ranking up to 2.

thanks for your answer, the rescue drill mission is not available... it just doesn't show up.
it has been this way for months, i gave up and didn't ask for help.
the npc just told me once: "you have to earn more crystals" or something like this, just after i finished save the children.
and then nothing. i am rank 2, it says so. but can't do rescue drill.

I think you're simply trading the crystals to the wrong npc. You're not supposed to trade to the mission npc. trade them to the guard near instead.
