If you ask the same question in multiple places the likelihood that someone else going and looking for the solution to the same problem finding it is reduced because the question may not be answered in each place asked.
It solves the problem for -him- and makes it harder for everyone else who now need to answer it in each place and who need to find the answer later. I consider -that- to be rude. Asking someone to not post the same question multiple times is not rude.
But, if people are so inclined as to not want my help, sure, I'll go away and this guy would've been left clueless. Isn't that a bit more rude? Isn't it a bit rude that there are people who know the answers to these questions, and have for years, and they don't even try to help anyone? Isn't it silly that I have to do it? I haven't been here long -at all- and I'm the only guy answering questions?
People have the time to call me rude for getting frustrated with people who -do the wrong thing- but don't have the time to answer their questions themselves? Ridiculous.
Bit more of hearing responses like yours and I'm gone for good.
