^Subject. I click Create Character, and I get "Boot.exe has stopped working" and crashes. Tried multiple times, still the same. I'm uninstalling and reinstalling now so we'll see how that goes. Any clue why this would happne?

Open the FFXI config and set "Simplified Character Creation".

Char creating simply crashes for some people unless that's enabled.

Worked, thank you! Do you happen to also know if you can use Ashita v3? I'm trying to use a patch by Atom0s that fixes graphics card issues with laptops. FFXI uses DirectX8, and any computer that has 2 GPUs, it automatically defaults you to on-board GPU and you cannot change this without his patch.
