I've done plenty of mining and fishing myself and haven't noticed what you've noticed, at all.

Unless someone shows up peddling rumors that they always mined with TH and it was always better, of course!

I've done a fair amount of mining, harvesting and excavation on Nasomi, as a handful of different jobs (a TH4-touting THF included).

From my personal experience, Treasure Hunter has 0 impact on loot gained from either of those 3 activities. Mining gear also does not appear to increase the loot gained from the table, but lessens the number of picks you break (at least where Mining is concerned - Excavation is up for debate, but not by me, cause IDGAF lol)

I do, however, suspect that the fatigue patch may have been subtly introduced here in the last couple of years (I want to say 2016) without any pomp & circumstance. I have no facts or stats to back this up, just a gut feeling and 3 years of experience.

Starting off in mining - what would be the best place to start making gil while low-level? I am 25 whm as highest job and 21 Thf is next

Cherri - I would suggest getting WHM to 30 and unlocking RNG for Widescan, buying Field Gloves or Boots for 10k, and then hitting Zeruhn mines. Darksteel Ore sells for 10k super fast, and you can use that to buy more picks and eventually a Field Tunica. If you want to get into Logging and/or Harvesting, you can use your mining gil to buy a Field Hose and have the complete set, but the Hose isn't needed for Mining.

If you want to farm the materials required, I will craft you the full field set free of charge. Almost all of the materials are pretty easy to come by even at lower levels.
