Heya, I've been interested in an FF11 fan-made server for a while after playing FF14 for a good while, though I'm not playing 14 anymore since I'm kinda tired of paying that sub for a game I've been steadily playing less and less of. I've played on similar kinds of servers for Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst (and dumped almost the same amount of time for 14 into the Ephinea server so PSO became one of my favorite games ever), so when I heard 11 has a few, it took me a while to wonder which one I should go with.

Ephinea promised an authentic, not-super-boosted, as-vanilla-as-possible PSO experience and I would agree it's as vanilla as it can get while remaining super fun. Given this server promises an OG-era FF11 experience, I figured I'd go with this one! I've never played 11, unless you count the 5 matches I've played as Shantotto and Prishe in Dissidia, so I wonder what it'd be like to play the precursor to how cool 14 was for me.

Though I'm going into this without some big Free Company to assist me or chat it up daily, I'm sure I can get into this just fine given some time. Although I'll miss the discounts on teleporting if this game has gil-paid teleports...

Hello, and welcome! While teleports do exist, they are extremely limited and any gil being paid would be to the WHM that was casting it!

Being able to warp to small outpost camps for gil do exist though, so that's at least somewhat comparable? Either way, welcome to FFXI.
