It's a pretty good deal though. There's 200+ eggs in the zone. Nas said there was 60-70 up last night, and 13 yet to be discovered. They're spread out pretty evenly, and there were only 16 people in the zone last night when I was playing. Flee only lasts for a few seconds, too. It's more about knowing where to look. Tall grass, tree's, ledges are where I found my eggs, they aren't just out in the open area. If an egg is down, you'll still get a message indicating that there's an egg spawn there. In years past we clicked an npc once per hour and got one egg. I ran around aimlessly last night and got 5-6 in an hour's time, so there's definitely a potential for more eggs per hour. The zones are big, I tried to stay away from people, but the egg areas are so small, they're really easy to miss and i've been running directly behind someone and gotten an egg they missed.
Thanks! That's good info.
I actually just managed to get some eggs

The good thing about moving to Australia is being able to do things like this while most of the pop are asleep. Hopefully I can get enough to try and get something over the next couple of nights.
I was just disheartened earlier when I saw how many people were taking advantage to make gil, instead of enjoying the event for what it is or letting others enjoy it instead of profiting off of them. To each their own, I guess. Spending their time learning the spots, making routes, and selling is understandable if they aren't interested in rewards. Parking mules on top of spawns is super lame, though. I just logged and some of the same ones are still parked on top of spawn points that have been there all day. Wish there was something in place against that, but I understand that there are more important things to deal with/look after.
It definitely sounds better than last year, though. That would suck with this pop!
