I can only speak to a certain few NMs that I camp, mostly Valkurm Emperor and Simurgh. Simurgh I know a few have killed weeks in a row, and not seen any drops beyond the 100%. It never seemed that bad in retail for me. This might just be me not seeing a drop and saying "It doesn't exist!" but I've much better drop rates on items that are supposed to be rarer.

Just looking for some feedback, as I guarantee it's killed daily.

This is not the first time this glitch has came up. In early 2016 there was a long period of time where strider's boots weren't available for a reason similar to this one.

I had no idea that was a thing. Damn...I'll ask Nas about it next time I see him I guess. Wish I would have known before dumping 50 hours of playtime XD

I went something like 1/30 on striders. No TH, i was duoing as smn and pld. If it was broken, i'm sure people would have noticed and complained by now. Sounds like you're just having bad luck.

The drop used to be around 10%. It is really bad. So even going 0/15 can easily happen.

Pretty sure Nasomi enters drop rates as they are listed on http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page so it should 9.8% ( http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Simurgh )

FFXI wiki's statement on droprate reporting (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/FFXI ... ate_Policy)
Of course, we know this not to be the case. Simurgh will have had TH applied at almost every kill - not only this, but the FFXI wiki clearly didn't distinguish between Striders and Trotters.

FFXIdb is much better, and reports per-TH level - but also clearly has data only for Trotter's boots which likely have a higher droprate than Striders... (http://www.ffxidb.com/zones/110/simurgh#dropped-by). So, this data is useless in this case.

Basically, the Strider's have their droprate set as their TH droprate before applying TH. Can't really complain about low droprate there...
