Hey after a couple hours of work I manage to get ffxi on nasomi graphical setting to their maximum potential on a laptop and have it it use my RoG gtx 1050 ti card instead of the integrated Graphics card.

One of the youtube guides: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBQdOdnJZuA

You might also need to go into nvidia's control panel and add boot.exe too the programs list and force run it on your main graphics card to get your desired 60 fps!

/fps 1
/drawdistance setworld "1-100"
Ashida background resolution set at double 1080 for 4k supper sampleling

I'll be posting images and videos regularly of mission gameplay!

Much easier to just use the dx9 proxy that's given on the troubleshooting page, for this exact issue.

Hey bud thanks for posting this, after a few hours myself of tinkering around I was able to produce the same results. Still have some tweaks to run to get my preference but I’m well in my way. The only problem I seem to be having is that my mouse cursor seems to disappear. Any thoughts?

How do you get dgvoodoo2 working? Does it require windower or anything special? I just followed a video tutorial on youtube. Just placed the exe and D3D8.dll in the POL folder , and set the directory to the POL folder withing the dgvoodoo app, I dont get a watermark when I load the game.

Beyond fixing the DirectX proxy/rendering issues with dual-GPU laptops, this post here has a bunch of cool/helpful stuff involving using Reshade to make the game extra purdy and some other stuff, too: viewtopic.php?t=6128

There are a good amount of .dat swaps, but since none of them are map mods/etc. they should all fall under the "yeah, that's ok" umbrella. Personally, I only use a handful of Reshade filters (no depth of field, no J.J. Abrams-style lens flare, etc.), but the difference in how the game looks in most zones is pretty incredible. I have to turn it off sometimes (like Cape Terrigan at high-noon, otherwise the sand makes you go blind), but when I turn it off in most places the stock graphics just look so... washed out. Mebbe I'll go grab some screenshots when I'm online later.

main reason I am trying to get dgvoodoo2 working is I am trying to enable nvidia 3d vision , not sure if that is going to work for certain but I am trying different things. I just cannot get the watermark to show
