Every time I log into the game my chat filters reset. Is this a thing? Or away to stop that from happening?

This is a thing and there is no way to stop it from happening. Instead, set your filters at the log level instead of the filter level. The log level one isn't as good, but it saves.

There is a file you can delete to keep it off forever, gotta remember what it is but I think it was vulgar.dic or something like that in both playonline and FFXI --- when its removed the chat filter won't work anymore.

He means the one to filter misses and such.

My mistake.

Yeah, I just put it all on "screen" log to not clutter my chat log.

As someone who is highly interested in this, can you explain what you mean? I'd love to filter some chat text/combat text x.x

Menu->Config->Log works for filtering (it saves), while Menu->Config->Chat filters does not.
