So I am kinda new to the whole being a 75 thing and had some questions about Merits. I did some research and it is said that you can have 30 + 45 after increasing maximum merits.

"The maximum number of merit points a character can stock is 30 base (plus up to 45 additional if Maximum Merit Points is fully merited) . You will continue to receive limit points past this point (up until 9999/10000 LP toward the next merit point) but any limit points earned after accumulating this amount will be lost."

Which makes sense, but then i look at another section below that and it says

Max combo: 75
Max per item: 15 (45 Maximum Merit Points)

Max HP (+10 per upgrade)
Max MP (+10 per upgrade)
Maximum Merit Points (+1 per upgrade)
This option follows a different progression than HP and MP.
[1→3→5→7→9→12→15→18→21→24→27→30→33→36→39→42→45→48]
Total merit points needed to master HP or MP : 83
Total merit points needed to master Merits : At least 1711.*
"

How can something need 1711 to master Merits when we only get 75 Merits? Or even Master HP or MP that need 83? Or does that mean I can only hold 30 or 75 Merit points before they are lost, but I can spend them as much as I want?

I just need a little clarification on how much I can upgrade.

Example: Can I Max all of these categories. MP, Beast Affinity, Axe Skill, STR, Reward Recast.

I guess Basically can I max out each Category?

You can only cap at like 15 max merit points here, but I don't think all of the things that cost more than 10 are available (because they weren't available in this game era).

You can only get up to level 10 in HP/MP, for example.

Don't follow a modern retail merit point guide. Find one written before WoTG was released (2008).

You can get to hold up to 17 merit points here. The 18th point costs 18 points to get. Funny little joke from S/E.
