I just completed Bastok Rank 2 mission and got the key item from the Eye/Dragon fight but Helaku won't give me the key item "Kindred Report" so I can complete the mission.
I finished the NIN quest just after the fight and it changed my title to "Shadow Walker" it is supposed to be "Dread Dragon Slayer" so I tried to get a bard to change my title back
....I talked to Jufaue just outside the Bastok embassy in Northern Sandy but he won't do it for me...says I don't have enough gil...i have over 400,000 so I don't think that is an issue...any ideas????

Were you actually properly on the Eye/Dragon fight step? Were you the one who initiated the battle, or was it someone else? Make sure you actually did everything before the fight properly.

Also, did you so Windy first, or Sandy first? Maybe you're just going to the wrong NPC?

I did the quest from Bastok...killed the Warchief solo...three of us did the Eye/Dragon fight and won... i got the key item for the fight but the npc in Bastok Embassy "Helaku" won't give me the key item that in need to talk to the guy in Bastok "Naji" to end the quest

I think you misunderstand.

You can enter any battlefield that your party initiated on Nasomi. You don't need to have been on the correct part of the mission to enter. I believe you'd end up getting the Kindred Report, too.

You may have missed a step before the fight. You were still able to enter the fight (someone else in your party initiated the battle) - and get the Key Item, but you aren't on the right step in the mission to hand in the key item due to missing a step earlier. I don't know what step you may have missed, but thousands of players have done this mission without issue, so it's much more likely that you missed a step than there's a bug with the mission itself.


edit: wait. Killed the warchief? That means you're talking to the wrong NPC. You talk to MALEK not HELAKU if you went Sandy-> Windurst.
