Yea, I loved it. I had a lot of fun seeing how much my Freezes would do. Even manaburns on here eventually will be nice. Long ways away though!

Thanks - That's what I figured, but wasn't sure. Groups of 55's being able to kill Lv 99 pets is weird.


Meteorite, (Carbuncle lv. 55,) doesn't get resisted ~ its always going to do between 400-600 damage depending on the target and those pet bats only have about 2000 hp. Back in the day a well-geared/merited BLM used to be able to one-shot the bats consistently with AM2 too. :lol:

Wat. Why did it take this long for this to become public information? This is a serious problem - it's never resisted?

Its was more or less like that in retail too if memory serves. That was Carbuncle's claim to fame in the 75-cap era, consistent, if lower, light-based damage. It will always do between that damage range, whereas you have the other avatars who can bang out 500-6k damage depending on the target.

I can't find any information that states that it cannot be resisted back then.

Yeah - I mean.. I literally spend hours there going 68-75 in the last 10 days~, and it's never resisted a single time.

It's a sweet mechanic. I did know that BLM use to go there too.

Reading old forum posts from 2006, they seem to claim resists occurred.

Nasomi also claims it should be getting resisted currently. I think something may be wrong.

That's how i leveled BLM back in 2008. It was fun. It's a bit sad it nerferd here but again maybe party isn't so bad for Mages like it was in toau
