SMN skill doesn't seem coded correctly, magic-damage BPs (partcularly merits,) don't seem to calculate properly since he over-nerfed them years back, various gear doesn't work, Astral Flow doesn't work, Avatar MB and SC don't work, several of Diabolos' BPs don't work, Max MP Boost seems low (not confirmed, just my opinion from looking at it a bit,) and probably some more that I'm missing off the top of my head.

Its only really "crazy powerful" on those bats in TOAU, as nothing else in TOAU weak enough to be worthwhile using that method on. Its not used for HNM's because other avatar's physical BP will outperform Meteorite at 75. It's really not nearly as big of a deal as you are making it out to be and has been public knowledge for awhile, you just missed it somehow lol.

Consistent or not, the point is that it isn't resisting here at all, when it should be. You can check the source over at dsp and notice that it doesn't apply like a magic BP, which is why you also can't MB meteorite.

lol seriously. there is alot more things "wrong" than carby doing a bp for 500dmg every 1 min at lv 55. like the whole toau zones for instance.

I don't recall if it was resisted or not on retail, but Diabolos filled a similar role there. Any chance of Diabolos getting fixed (or at least Nether Blast) if this gets changed?

There is never a guarantee that multiple things get fixed at the same time. Nor would it be wrong to only fix things that are performing way too good without fixing things that don't work good enough.

Isn't that what was done with Snarl and Reward on Beastmaster? Snarl wasn't working so he baked it into Reward? I can't imagine he would revert that without fixing Snarl. Carbuncle filling the Diabolos role until Diabolos is fixed seems similar. Again, I'm not sure about Carbuncle's resistability in era, but an unresistable nuke for ~500 was definitely in the Summoner toolkit.
