it has nothing to do with the grind its the fact im trying to earn money just to get level 10 gear so i can even survive a bit in valkurm which is how you get to selbina in the first place.

You can run to Selbina as a level 1 job. As Epyon said you can even do 0-5 in your starter city, although I'd recommend Selbina as you can isolate Jellyfish easily. Nothing is going to be handed to you here, it is up to you to find ways to make gil/advancements to your character.

I had no forum posts telling me how to make gil, I found my own ways.

Yes - This is a way to reliably make gil at that level of the game, with about 6~ hours of preparation.

You should be level 12 before you're trying to go to the dunes, get level 12 with whatever random gear you have.. Do this method to make as much money as you want to invest time, after.

where did I ask for anything to be handed to me? I am just trying to find ways to you know ... gear up and play the game. Yes i get it the game is a grind I played back when the game came out so i know that.

Bolded the part that feels like you're wanting a handout. If you know the game is a grind, go grind and stop complaining about a forum post trying to help you out.

Edit: If you're serious about playing this game, 6 hours will be a drop in the bucket of your playtime. Currently I'm at: 310days 20 hours and I started a little over a year ago. Probably 30% of that is afk time.

The post is wrong no matter how you look at it you yourself said I had to go somewhere first before i can do anything in this post when the post says you can do this right away.

Because you can do this in your starter city? Did you really not even read the OP where he stated you can skill from 0-5 in your starter city? I only gave advice on how to get better results when going 0-5.
