Correct me if I'm wrong, but would it not be better to have the r/ex versions drop from NMs in the world so you can camp what you need and move on... and have the sellable versions come from BCNMs to incentivize people to do more BCNMs (thus having an effect on supply of other important BCNM drops)?

I understand that non-ex versions from NMs was how it was way back in original retail, but the server isn't EXACTLY like retail in the strictest sense.

This is just a thought, of course it's all up to Nasomi in the end. If you think I'm wrong, I'd be glad to hear why as I'm open to other points of view.

Pretty sure that's how it was back when the server started. I don't remember why/when he switched it.

Personally I don't care, I'd rather them be more openly available via NMs, but that's mostly cause I would rather buy stuff like that and having them drop of NMs makes the price cheaper.

Ah fair enough, there are more efficient ways to make money than camping NMs with low drop rates & competing against a ton of people.

Yeah basically. Even as a lower level, you'll probably be able to make the 100k they're worth before you actually get them to drop. (Unless you're extraordinarily lucky, or extraordinary bad at farming.)

Bounding Boots were released July 2005 and Treasures of Aht Urgh was released April 2006. So if we placed this time on retail during release of Ah Urgh (as to allow Blu and Core to be unlocked and people to visit Aht Urgh areas, that would place Nasomi in April of 2006 which was is well with Bounding Boots addition (8 months or so).
