Is zone lag normal on a Friday night? My dunes party was wiping repeatedly last night because the healer could not heal up tank quick enough after a big hit. As the tank, I didn't even see the kill shot from the mob; I just fell over dead. Meanwhile everyone is moving around like it's stop motion animation. A party can not function like that, and it almost forces you to have a PL.

The game is unplayable in that state. If that's what it's going to be like to 75 I don't think I can continue. There were 70-75 people in the zone, which does not sound like a lot to me especially when the project is being touted as one of the more populated places to play.

Nas is aware of lag issues and has been working on them. 70-75 people all fighting mobs in one small corner of the map is going to case lag in that zone. After all, there is another 800 people fighting and ding things elsewhere at the same time...

Move the party to another zone when this happens. There are always alternative camps.

The issue is most new people aren't aware of where they are. Maybe as a temporary fix until people begin to outlevel the dunes, Nasomi could adjust the difficulty of mobs in Gusgen or something. People don't do Korroloka because it's so far for those from Sandy, and Gusgen is (relatively) in the middle.

Simple solution: Re-roll in another nation that doesn't smell.

Hi,

There are a options for camps if you can find people that are willing to go elsewhere. Shocking, but you may find that people are sick of the dunes and wouldn't mind traveling to another area to exp in just to get away from the dunes. Where as some folks are all about the known zones and the expected exp/per hour and want to stick with what they know, and good on them! :D

When I first started retail, we'd level in Buburimu Peninsula or Dunes (at that level) depending on how many parties are out there. I didn't even know about dunes being a thing until I changed servers from Odin to Garuda in all honesty.

12-19ish Buburimu Peninsula and target: Snippers, Bull Dhalmels, and Goblin/Shoal Pugils for example. There is also a small beetle camp in Sauromugue Champaign that we'd often hit instead of the over camped lake in Qufim. The camp is what I actually used to powerlevel while I was seeking in Qufim.

My suggestion is to check out some XI exp guides for ideas. My favorite is using http://campsitarus.blogspot.com/ but you may find some on BG, Alla or even Somepage. If that doesn't work, perhaps you can check out the WIKI field of valor to get an idea of the level of the mobs in zones and base your party off those mob levels. Some of the guides may not be the sweet spot for exping based on your party make up or other exp factors, but don't be afraid to go check out or become acquainted with other lesser used zones. The alternative is fighting with other parties for mobs and slow exp anyways.

Go forth and conquer.

After all, they couldn't be arsed to push the down arrow when making a character.

So are most mobs on this server the same as on retail? Or are their stats/powers different? As in: will certain mobs absolutely destroy you because they are overtuned when on retail they typically would be fine? I've noticed in the Dunes that people avoid crabs in general, which seems odd.
