Is anyone else getting a protocol time out error when logging into the server? I'm creating an account, and trying to log into Nasomi server, but timing out. Did all the servers go up post maintenance?

This is from the wiki in case you didn't check.

Stuck "Checking name and gold world pass" then error FFXI-3113
Cause: Your character name is already taken on the server
Fix: Re-launch the game. Use a new name. You must relaunch the game if you get stuck on this error. All subsequent attempts to use the same name will get stuck at this point until you re-launch the game.
Cause: You took to long creating your character.
Fix: Re-launch the game and re-create it. Now that you know what to do, it should be quick.

Since you are creating an account and this is your first char, try a different name and see if it works. I think you can always delete the character and make a new one with a better name.

That was it, I should have dug a bit deeper. I was getting too anxious I suppose.

I am currently facing the same issue. I made my account yesterday and was able to play and everything but when logging on today I cant play

try rebooting network adapter or router. or just trying again.
