 Post subject: Crafting Currently

Hi,

I was about to start leveling a craft this week, and then I saw a bunch of posts about how they aren't sure it's all working as intended since the last update. Since I don't frequent NasChat much, and Nas communicates with us about as well as my wife does, I was curious if there's any insight into if it's an actual problem?

Can you still level up a craft without issue? Is it just HQ rates that seem off? Can someone give a decent overview of the issue, and whether it's a waste of time to begin skilling a craft in it's current state?

it is not a waste of time. nas adjusted rates to what he believes to be correct. i wouldnt expect further adjustments. crafting is still very profitable.

Thanks - I haven't cared much about it thus far, and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't "broken" in some fashion, and rather T2 synths are closer to 25% as intended with the right conditions.

Not expecting further adjustments is what I was looking for.

It is not a waste of time but it definitely is very much less profitable in the current state due to HQ nerf (see thread in the Marketplace for more info).

In essence, with the current rates, I do not believe someone could finance their craft lvling solely with the crafting profits. In this regard, it is very much like it used to be in retail.

Thanks for the feedback. That thread was one of the many I was referring to. I'm glad to see some research happening. I don't think it being like era retail is an issue, just an adjustment.

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but many t2 items are still ~42% hq rate with the right moon and day. Ive recently discovered that you'd consider taking advantage of this to be exploiting, so you may want to steer clear of crafting until it's 1:1 with retail.

Ok, how come? If it does not have a subcraft, what has changed? Also I edited my post to ~42% since t2 base is 25%.

Why would tier 2 crafts have wildy different result than all the T1 testing done? How many synths did you do to get 42%?
