Use OP and drop down as you would go to Norg. There are a few ponds in that sahagin area.

Just do it in Yhoat. It's better. There's a tunnel dead-end NW of the crystal that you can fish in, without aggro.

How is Mithran Rod compared to Composite Rod? Since huge price difference til I can get money for composite.

I can't speak to Mithran Rod, but if you lack the funds in the beginning, then you could start out with a Clothespole before moving on to Halcyon Rod and Composite. That worked well for me.

Is Selbina 1-5 the only option? Or is it simply the best option? I see everyone recommend it, but I don't remember fishing here in retail. I went straight for Moat Carps at level 1.

Here you can catch fish up to 20 levels above your skill, besides Moat Carp. Moat Carp you need to be level 5 to start reeling them in. Selbina isn't the only option to go 1-5, you can do it in starting cities and other places, but Selbina doesn't have moat carp. So you can reel in most things, that other places have fish that'll bite that you lose.. Wasting time.

Is it normal - while fishing in Selbina with a Clothespole and Little Worms - to get a LOT of "You didn't catch anything."?

I'm 3/18 attempts.
