FFXI has seasons! Check the current date in game. The summer is your best bet for fire weather (in the desert or jungle)

Boy do I feel your pain! Nabutso is correct about the seasons but I think your best bet is to check out the desert.

Sure it isn't accurate but it gives a visual on how the "seasons" work in Vana'diel.

Yeah I just meant like.. you won't find fire even in altep outside of summer time, whereas in the chart it's uniform.
