Does every NM on Nasomi follow the same spawn conditions as retail did for this era? Examples:

- Leaping Lizzy: 2 placeholders, 2 possible LL spawns, can spawn off eachother
- Valkurm Emperor: Placeholder is the first fly on the list of 4 between second set of snippers & leeches
- Mee Deggi: Placeholder is Yagudo Drummer/Interrogator below the Yagudo Elemental OR only spawns up top? (I honestly can't remember the PH for when it only spawned on top)
- Quu Domi: Similar
- Argus: 16-32 hours timed spawn between Argus and Leech King

etc. etc. or do some of these vary?

Some are different. Search the forums and you'll find a few answers. For the rest, go camping.

If I may, I do wish to ask about another NM. My Red Mage is stuck at 41 as I need refresh, and since I burnt 400+ beastmen's seals without a single scroll dropping I figured camping Taisaijin is my next best option. Sadly, I don't have 400k+ to just buy one, unfortunately, otherwise I would have by now.

I hope to clarify this part (taken from FFXIclopedia):

"It is often thought that no Taisai can be disturbed during the re-spawn period, this however is not completely true. It seems that the Taisai that morphs into Taisaijin, is the only one that cannot be killed, which will effectively reset the timer to 3 days. Or perhaps, only the possibility of the certain Taisai to be replaced will be denied."

So I started scoping the zone to try and work out where the 3 Taisai spawn etc. As I didn't have a ToD, I knew I was running around blind but I figured I might get lucky. However, not long since I arrived, a beastmaster came through and killed all of the mobs along that path, including the Taisai. So my question is, does this mean I'd have to wait 3 days before having any chance at the NM? What if I wait 3 days, but someone else kills the Taisai in that time? How am I supposed to have any chance at the NM without sitting in the zone for days on end asking people not to kill the Taisai?

You cannot kill Taisaijin as a lvl 41 RDM. If you happen to have another 75 job, that's a different story.

Just farm/fish for it if you're out of Seals. It will come faster to you than gathering people/gear for OWNMs.

In addition, it's possible the Beastmaiter in question is either being an intentional douche or ignorant of how the NM works.

Yes, I know, I have a higher level Samurai that should be able to kill it.



So the NM does work as it is alluded to on FFXIclopedia?

Know its a necro bump, but wanted to add info to whats already in here. For those who want to camp Taisaijin, confirmed a few things :

1) Location on Nas is different than retail (see screenshot of widescan)
2) He spawns near the middle Taisai, regardless of which Taisai morphs into the NM. In this example it was the farthest east Taisai that morphed
3) If any Taisai is killed it restarts the clock on it, I camped for 6 days straight and Taisai's were killed multiple times, only the far east one was undisturbed for 72hrs which made it pop, can confirm the 72hr rule

As a side note, people do wander in there to kill the Taisai's randomly, mostly seems out of ignorance just trying to get items, but msging them usually got them to stop killing, which is how I eventually got the far east one to finally turn NM.

Putting this info out there so there's a greater knowledge of the NM, hoping it adds a few more refresh to the AH and continue to drive that price down. I know it's more practical to do the OWNM or whatever, but still...happy hunting and get that sweet title!
