I've heard from multiple veteran fishers and players that the +skill on the Fisherman's/Angler's Tunica sets does not work and are only purchased by people who like the look of them, or are perhaps unaware that it doesn't actually work.

I've also had 2 people tell me that while the skill+ doesn't work, that the clothing does increase the "angler's sense" triggering.

What are the facts in regards to this gear on Nasomi? Thanks in advance!

I did a bunch of testing with various pieces as well as with basic support to try and get around the 'lack of skill' message while being 21+ levels below cap for specific fish, and it never worked (either with Moat Carp or with various other fish like bluetail, crescent, etc.). However, I've had a couple people I trust tell me that they were getting the 'angler's sense' message while wearing all the fisherman's gear for fish while they were still a couple levels away from the fish level cap (e.g.: getting it for sole at lv74, etc.). I never tested it myself, and am too high to give it a go on anything now, but it might maybe be worth a shot if someone wants to toss some money around. Worse comes to worse, you get a fancy blue suit out of it.

Is this the same for the green miner's set?

No.

The Mining/Logging/Harvesting set DOES work. It reduces the chance of your tool breaking.

Can confirm, doesn't work. Bought a set before I knew better. Heard it didn't work, did some testing. No + skill. Immediately sold the fishing gear because there are more stylish things to fish in, I'm partial to the Assault Jerkin. Never paid attention to "Angler's Sense" messages because the system telling me what I'm reeling up generally doesn't change much unless my angler's sense tells me it's rusty junk and I'm fishing with bait so I can cancel the cast. Otherwise it's faster to just hurry up and reel it in even if it's trash I don't want.
