Like i said in my original post i tried Mhaura and all the ports except for sandy and I doubt that will make any difference. I tried port bastok and mhaura again today and after around 50 tries at each zone nothing but rusty gear and cobalt jellies. I don't know what else it could be but a bug.

:> Maybe try Meeep's guide. https://nasomi.com/wiki/index.php?title ... e_by_Meeep

Hie,

I haven't had time to log in and check if the fishing system is the same as retail or has been further customised on a pole/bait/location feature level here. But If it's like retail this may help with looking for alternative bait/pole/locations to try fishing up the Sardines (and other fish).

You may want to check the zone's other potential fish and see if they share the same lure/bait possabilities as the fish you are targeting. If they do one fish may have a higher bite chance over the other one.

I am having the same problem.

Set up is Clothespole, Sabiki rig and currently in Port Windy. Also tried Mhaura, Selbina...not caught one fish yet. Caught a copper ring and some rusty stuff.

Lame.

I couldn't get them to hit on a clothespole, had to upgrade to a SH Rod when I was fishing them way back, these days I find the halcyon is best for them when I bother with em although a composite rod works too.

Any chance you're at Yuhtunga Jungle level? If you're having issues you could do Moat/Forests til 20 at the lake before SSG entrance.

Unfortunately no, I only started playing three weeks ago, and while I would love to play 24/7 (because I am hooked again....accidental fishing pun in a fishing thread  ) I have my studies.

So guess I have some leveling to do.

First thanks for all the tips, very helpful. I switched to Halcyon rod and the problem seems to be resolved. I'm not sure if it's the actually the rod that fixed it because I was pretty sure that shouldn't make a difference but it seems to work.

Clothespole + Sabiki Rig at Fishing 7 caught nothing in Port Windurst, then I forked out money for a nice Composite Rod and with the Sabiki Rig I started landing Bastore Sardine and Quus all the time. :O

Thank you crafters!
