Strange, I had a friend who handed necks in all before joining the tenshodo, and 0 afterwards, and he had his fame.

Well then I have no clue. I just know I'm at 4 now and it happened right after I turned in my last round of Necklaces.

Let's chalk it up to Nasomi oddities.

Windurst fame definitely gives you discounts from relevant vendors, I can confirm that for sure. I'd assume Tenshodo fame works similarly.

100% not true, I did lvl 4 fame without being in tenshodo.

However, on my thf character, I didn't unlock nin right away, and tried at lvl 46 thf. Lo and behold, now I'm stuck doing some stupid dagger quest before I can turn in yag necks.

i have rank 4 norg fame and i just hit lvl 30 on my warrior havent joined tenshudo to my knowledge as well lol. all i know is norg fame doesnt show up on the nasomi website till your rank 4 minimum.
