Clothcraft is one of the cheapest to level up to the 90s

is that true? srs question. I've avoided crafting so far, because I haven't decided on which one I felt like doing. It's less connected to my job, and more connected to the most interesting.. but just in general, I didn't think CC was considerd cheap.

Once you get to the 90s, it is no longer cheap, and 99-100 is stupid hard and expensive right now. But in my experience CC, BC, and Alch were cheaper than the other 4 to skill up on.

I'd rank them cheapest to most expensive in three tiers:
CC(pre98), BC, Alch
WW, LC, BS
GS, CC (98-100)

Id be interested to hear what some other veteran nasomi crafters thought.

I think this is probably close to accurate. 90s in CC can get costly. With the furniture being released, 100 CC means nothing now so you only need to get 99 which is viable with how big the server has gotten.

I found the 80s in LC harder than the 90s. But LC was a breeze to get to 100 compared to CC.

I am slowly making a guide for Nasomi on GS (honestly, it's Camper, Drink Pepsi, and Tororu really putting in the input, im just throwing it on one list) - We have levels 41-92 up but need to do the early levels and clean up how it looks. I think we should start making guides per Nasomi on each craft to help others know at least a decent path if not the best path. Retail guides really do suck for us here lol.

Nasomi crafting guides is a big step for the server's viability to continue growing. People think "we have enough crafters", or "everyone can just do their own research".. And that's not the point.

Established servers with 1k+ people should have guides to help folks navigate the crafting on that server. It's why every game with a crafting system has guides.

As someone who's been leveling CC, I still don't know if I've done it the best path.. and I really don't know the best path from 68-99. You can't want all the benefits of a growing server, and then complain about the things that come along with that to support the growth.

I agree. Once I hit 60 GS I will be switching to another craft for a bit. I will start documenting what I do and try to come up with the best guide I can. It won't be perfect but if everyone chips in I bet we can form some nice guides.

True.

Only danger with guides is relying blindly on it without knowing how the crafting/economy system works or the fact that the guide was a snapshot of the best path when the author did it. I also believe that

For example, in the GS thread, Pepsi's suggestion of doing platinum ring/earring I thought was a waste of gil given the fail/crit fail rate on Nasomi. I could very well be wrong but given I was at that level a few months ago, the picture/environment might have changed.

All that to say, research matters when doing crafting. FFXIclopedia recipes list per bracket level (0-10 | 10-20 etc.) mixed with Nasomi wonderful online auction tool will always be 10x more helpful than a guide made by someone who lvled that craft a while back.

I seriously doubt anyone ever lvled a craft to 100 while following a guide except if they had access to significant amount of gil obtained through end-game.

I didn't say you should follow it blindly, just that the guides existing is important.

I've always looked at guides as a loose blueprint of what to do. Here are some basic, easy skillups you can do. However, to make a profit you will need to get creative on most of it.
