Oh, and I have a few comments about the courthouse thing. FFXI gives GM's a "judge" set and a zone called a gaol/jail. A "court," "jail," and a "case" all refer to a confined space of some kind. That's why precedent is so helpful here.

None of that applies here. The only thing similar is that there’s a zone that some people decide to refer to as jail.

Otherwise, Nas can basically do whatever he wants without recourse. I’m glad Nab answered the question though, because it helps with reporting folks in the future.

Is there an official way to report someone, or does reporting mean DMing Nas?

If you're reporting a bug, you can do so from the forums. If you're reporting another player, sending Nas a PM on IRC is the "official" way.

What do you mean 'refer to as a jail'?

Mordion Gaol is literally pronounced Mordion Jail. Its a jail zone.

I'm not sure how fishing is even brought up into this. The rule states "Multi-boxing HELM Functions from the same IP. One HELM per household."
HELM =
Harvesting
Excavating
Logging
Mining
Each of those have few and specific locations that people can farm the points at. So I can see it being unfair to multibox and hogging up those locations.
Fishing however has no set number of points, a person can literally fish on top of another fisherman. I don't see it fitting into this category of (HELM).

Nas doesn't want people fishing on 2 accounts at the same time. I can see why he wants it this way although I do not agree with him. Trying to change rules that are already set is fighting a losing battle.

Thank you for bringing this topic up, I've thought of the same thing myself. Could I also piggyback on this discussion and ask what seems like a silly question? I have two characters, am I able to fish on both of them as long as it's not at the same time? Could I, for instance, have Fishing 100 on both characters assuming that they've always fished on separate occasions?
