yea this update really screwed summoners on alot of lvs. there is still testing going on but atm other than a very few niche things it's about half as usefull as it once was. I've heard there is more in the works for smn. but who knows. Nas just does alot of random shit. and seems to toss stuff in lately.

Like what items, I notice prices going down on various items prior to maintenance.

Smn numbers on wyrms are a little bit lower but didn't have optimal setup. I can't really speak to the utility of the job as a whole with auto attack damage and stuff as my purposes for lvling smn were just to bp and release but it seems fine. Slightly nerfed but I'm not as hurt on the inside as I was when my beautiful 100% perfectly geared blm was made weaker than when I was a fresh 75 blm with no merits. It is what it is. It's still the most efficient DD on anything where tp moves are a grave concern.

My question is I wonder if one of the changes and reasons people have such low numbers is due to summoning magic skill. Has this been tested?

Since Its been ignored, Blue Mage AF / Af Maker Still Bugged and Broken.
Not being able to take stones to unlock job. BLU AF Maker still wont let others make if legs were first, AF Head Still Wont Spawn.

It wasn't a nerf to fishing so much as it was a nerf to fishing in Nashmau. Which makes sense because if Nasomi wanted us goofing around in TOAU zones the mobs wouldn't all be lv 99. I'm still happily fishing up just as much as I was before the change. Any price change is more than likely normal market fluctuation.

I had a lot of experience on SMN "Only Lvl 75" on retail from NM to HNM's and I can say that Meteorite/Nether Blast always did consistent damage(500-550) and never saw one get resisted. On retail meteorite was the fall back option if you needed to slow down your MP usage when soloing or to finish a mob off. I will contact some of my retail friends to see if any of them have a 55-75smn and have them meteorite a lvl 99 mob and I'm sure it will produce the same results of 500-550dmg with it never being resisted. When it comes to physical BP they were consistent but the occasional miss here and there. I think with a corsair the dmg was usually around 800-2000 on HNM, 2000 being a critical hit. When SE buffed the Avatar Magical BP that's when I started seeing SMN being even more consistent with dmg. A fully merited smn with Mag att/mag acc/Merit BP could do a consistent 1000-1500 with no corsairs on any NM/HNM/ZNM, yes there was the occasional resist but it was far in between.

I think the issue here is that due to all mobs in TOAU being lvl 99 it open some doors specifically for smn to take advantage of the situation. If TOAU mobs where there regular level no one would be complaining about Meteorite bc you are spending 108MP to do 500 dmg constantly. What I do hope is that Nas fixes the Magical merit BP's as that would really improve the smn job in general and separated the non-merited smn with the merited ones.
