I've been able to fish at 0 with composite rod and sabiki rig in norg, went from 0-9 and caught quus and bastore sardines, with the occasional jellyfish or rusty items. When cities are back you should be able to catch the same in those areas.

What is the latest on fishing? I was going to create a character today since I am new to this server and wanted to work on fishing fairly early. Is there a way to fish then?

Yup, the rods and baits aren't exactly the same as retail, but I've fished pretty much everywhere at lower levels now. Windy woods is minnow rig for preferred rig to skill up early on.

I tried to fish in Selbina with Lugworms but keep getting I don't have enough skill messages. My fishing is 3 atm. Looks like I only have luck with Littleworm which seems to catch only Cobalt Jellies at a horrible bite rate tho.

Try sabiki rig or minnow, i've had good luck with them.

what rod are you using? if it is clothes pole you will get this message alot, if it is halycon or composite you will get jellyfish (5), quus(19), bastore sardines, greedie(14) and Fat greedie (23)

(#) = is best memory for skill cap on those fish atm. currently 16.8 fishing and I found best combo was I used was halcyon and lugworms in selbina, you can also do halycon and sabiki rig in mhuara for yellow globes(17) and some of the smaller ones.

I started with clothespole and littlewords/lugworms but skills ups were so slow it wasn't really worth doing it.

Fishing cap still 50?

Can't get any Moat Carp in Windy with Clothespole/Insect Ball setup. Anyone found a way to catch the Carp?

Level might have something to do with it. But I've noticed type of pole has influence on the server as well. Maybe Composite? Halcyon?

People were reporting catching these with Insect Paste in West Ronfaure. I don't recall a specific pole.
