There are no timetables for anything on Nasomi. Nobody could know, and you will not get an official answer on anything.

If or when it does come out look forward to dozens of pups all leveling at the same time. I can only imagine the crazy inflation of the pup parts too.

From my admittedly limited research into pup and leveling it up to 12. Pup pet works, it is the frames and attachments that do not function. As such, you can call your pet, it will attack what you tell it to attack in it's melee form, use manoeuvres (These give the base stat bonus only) and that is it.

There is no tank, ranged, or magic puppets at the moment, and you can not enhance the pet with attachments.

Yeah people called it a monk with a pet. Im guessing that is mostly at lower levels since monk gets asuran fists later

On retail I'd only ever see it called a gimp monk with a pet.

With how it is now it's a gimp monk with a gimp pet that works pretty ok early on.

On retail, at least up to the point I played WoTG, while PUP was not really desired for endgame content, the job itself was much more versatile than MNK for solo, duo, or small group shenanigans (don't pistol whip me) due to it's different frame options, allowing your pet to tank, or be a healer/haster, ect.

It was never an overly popular job while I was playing, but just a fun job to play.
