On topic:

1. Reuniting with so many friends from retail. It really makes me happy to see that we can/got to play again together. You guys know who you are!
2. Going 2/3 on Dusk Gloves +1 and 2/8 on Genie Weskit within one hour. Impossible luck.
3. Deciding I wanted an Amanomurakumo and then being able to make that dream come true within just two weeks of hardcore crafting and teamwork with an amazing LS.
4. First true White Coney claim and kill. I held it on BLM after Yes wiped for about 45 min before LS gathered. Glad it's back for good. I've been looking for frost turnips and hare meat for a while now.
5. Wyrmfecta last week.
6. Lowmanning sea for months to farm 6+ JoL to get a Novio Earring.
7. Soloing tenzen's path (NIN+RDM Dbox). Let's just say I needed a lot of shurikens.

On Nasomi, one memory stands out more than anything that has happened or will ever happen...

After spending about 2 years on FFXIV, then trying to go back to XI on retail only to be left disappointed, I came across this server when I decided to randomly search for an Era Private FFXI server one day. There wasn't any easy one click quick download feature that we have now, and the download that Nasomi had back then was full of bugs which you had to figure out for yourself in order to cater it to your OS if it didn't work right away; but after a couple days of fidgeting around I finally managed to get the game running.

At first I was disappointed at the introduction... or lack there of in this case. There was no opening cutscene to greet you like in retail, and the barren city landscape was void of any player, a stark contrast to the bustling of characters running about their business that I fondly remembered from retail. Doing a quick /sea all search did little to lift my spirits, there was a full 15 people online throughout the entire server.

Still, the Windurstian music began to pull me back to a familiar place, and despite the absence of anyone else in sight, the sense that I'm finally home washed over me, Vana'diel of old was still alive, and I was excited to see where it went from there.

That is my fondest memory on Nasomi....

Years later, I've made great new friends, found reliable allies, reunited with old acquaintances again, and last but not least; made new rivals to compete against!

Each and everyone of us turned that lifeless town that I logged into all those years ago, into this grand revitalized world that we all can share and enjoy again. Thanks Nasomi, and every player here!
