That is too bad... it seems if you are 1-2 away from cap ur skill ups are basically insanely rare and low? This makes levelling certain things like goldsmithing impossible.
After all there are many recipes to skill up that u are that close to cap(and u have to or be broke in two seconds)I guess everyone that leveled it before will forever have the advantage.

Skillrate for the most part seems to be fine to me. I don't know why people cry so much. What certainly is extremely bad is when you are 1 away from the cap then good luck. Before you could at least reduce your "skill" by a few levels to increase the cap. Can't do that anymore (supposedly, do we have any evidence really that difficulty isn't changed by day/moon anymore?).

I just worked on two different recipes. These were done without imagery or any +skill gear. The results are below:

My skill: 86. Target synth: Wamoura Silk (88). Skill difference: 1-2 levels (I hit 87 during this).

Synths: 105
Breaks: 27
Skillups: 12 * 0.1
HQ: 1

Skill-up %: 11.4%

My skill: 87. Target synth: Wamoura Cloth (90). Skill difference: 3 levels.

Synths: 62
Breaks: 21
Skillups: 6 * 0.1
HQ: 0

Skill-up %: 9.6%

I can provide screenshots of all of these synths. Over a total of 167 synths my skill-up rate was 10.78%. This is inconsistent with the typical 25% skill-up rate (or what you'll see often is people say 1 level per 36 synths) post 60 you will find when searching the topic online. Both bluegartr and bg-wiki report the skill-up rate post 60 to be 25%+, which is more than double than what is gained here. Again, I report my findings over 167 synths today, if you search this thread you will find another 200 synths by me that will be near the numbers I reported above. The sample size at this point is very significant.
