Regardless of the ethical debate, it's just 40k, the reaction is entirely disproportionate for someone who wears a 250k Vermillion Cloak amongst other things. 40k isn't even that big of an amount for people who aren't even at the first level cap. You can make that in one evening by fishing and AH'ing 13 stacks of stupid carps or grinding level 20-30 mobs that drop valuable/synthable stuff + crystals.

It's FFXI, there'll be far bigger losses and heartbreaks ahead than 40k.

The cry baby/drama queen hecked up. If you put your thing up, why would you bid 40k on it? Put it up for 1 gil with the other screen with a 1 gil bid all ready to go. I do this all the time and a ton more in recent months since the removal of my windy mule due to the new account system. Never gave anyone gil by accident. I did it with a damn speed belt lol you just messed up. That being said, I'd return the 40k. But still, if a lesson on how the ah works costs you just 40k, you can consider yourself lucky. I've had friends list stuff for the max 99,999,999 price not realizing that that 10k cap on listing fee is false and actually always takes 1%. That was 1 million gil goodbye.

He didn't do anything shitty to him. Storm hecked up by not trading directly and is a massive drama queen, as we've seen already.

I would have traded the 40k back, and I have 100k to my name. So yes, he had the option. Whether he should have chosen that option is up to the spectrum of your moral compass. But dont imply that there was no other feasible option to make this scenario happen any differently, even if he is a drama queen. (which I dont disagree with)

Nice try Stormstrife

Started the server a week ago, not aware of the drama. wasnt really defending the guy also, just was super surprised to see this topic after the interaction I had with him is all. Starting to see I might have been the miniority tho lol

I believe he was transferring gil, not the item.

Use an item that wouldn't be listed at 1 gil though, to your point.
