Not my idea. Its been happening for months before I even started playing.

My idea was my opinion that triggered you. I just don't plan on dealing with them.

Remember how the claim system was fixed only after everyone kept saying it was broken? And they kept up the stream of information to nas about what was happening?

Do you want your reports from months ago to be the last time nas has heard about this being an issue? Do you really think he just ignores the changing state of the game when it comes to which fixes to push?

It's not the answer you want to hear but it is the answer. Report it to him. Yes, again. Every time it happens. With details if you have them. Multiple linkshells. Multiple people if you all have information.

He's already said he won't move OWNMs. He hasn't said he won't fix crashes. He has priorities, and you should assume that it's low priority, not unfixable, if something isn't fixed right away. Make it clear that it should be a priority, just like the claim system was. Be persistent, detailed if you can, and don't let him forget about it (but don't bother him if you don't have any new information or new instances).

How often? I can reliably crash most zones with OWNMs whenever I please. Should I do that, and report it daily? Weekly? Monthly? Does the guy have a sticky note he could just use instead?

Please stop. It's been reported. He knows. It's not his priority. These forum posts are people complaining, and dreaming of him seeing it.

I'm not sure what you mean that suggesting a "different fix" isn't the right solution. To my knowledge, there's not a fix at all. I'm suggesting the most reasonable, easiest, and cleanest. Move the OWNM. He's also said claim system was working fine, and crafting isn't broken. Both of those are false as well. I'm not going to not suggest the most reasonable solution to a problem, because he doesn't agree. It's his server, he can do whatever he wants, but that doesn't mean anyone should pretend they don't know of a better way to skin the cat.

Wolf always the voice of reason and maturity. Can't get much simpler than that.

It's fine. Don't worry about it Nab. I'll set an outlook task to pop into NasChat every day at 1 PM and just shoot Nas a PM that OWNMs still crash two of the three zones that have a motive for someone to crash on purpose every single day... and that this can be avoided by having these two OWNMs placed into, and I mean this literally, any other zone in the game.

Edit: and before you bother, I know this is ridiculous. That's actually my point.

Honest question here, but why don't the end game shells just routinely kill these particular OWNMs so they're not around to be zoned and cause this issue? Perhaps I just don't understand the intricacies having only killed a couple lv40 ownms and never doing end game stuff. Seems like an easy, player side solution to me though.

Sounds like the solution to me is to kill the OWNM before ToD...

Doesn't seem so crazy to just move them. They've been moved before. There are many realistic zones and places they could be moved. I do ownms a ton. I've watched competing groups be forced to pull too early because of competition(us) and wipe or be forced to warp/escape from the zone. I'd say when the last person to have hate exits the zone, there is at least a 25% chance that zone goes down. If the zone is stressed, like when 80 people are waiting for aspi or nidhogg, I can only imagine that chance increases. These zones are very very busy. I'm sure there are at least 2 zones that aren't they can get switched to. The location of these ownms has been switched in the past. This is a very reasonable suggestion that could decrease zone crashes during hnms. There is no realistic argument against moving them.

Wolf, you're trying to make an argument out of something that isn't. No, there is no set amount you should report something; but "it was reported xxxx months ago so clearly he will NEVER FIX IT/he'll fix it no need to ever tell him it's an issue again haha" is just a terrible way of thinking.

This isn't about making an argument to move them because nas already -decided- he doesn't want to. This is about properly informing and keeping updated the -actual issue- to nas, and I don't see why that's so hard for anyone to understand.

I can't even believe this is something that people disagree with.

I'm not trying to make an argument at all. We all proposed an incredibly valid, and easy, solution to a massive problem. I never said he'll never fix it. I said continuing to point out that a gigantic bug exists isn't necessary, not because he won't fix it, but because Nasomi isn't a moron.

You informed us that that is not a valid solution. We appreciate your opinion, I just consider it to be a poor one. I see no reason to cease proposing the best solution possible to an issue.
