I too have just asked whether dual-boxing will be stopped (or rules changed) in the future. I said that I understand that this will upset some people if it happens, but the prevalence of alt-PLs is harming job balance (main WHMs), player skill and good party strategy. The exp may be nice, but I get bored in parties where we just zerg the mob and no one has to worry about dying, because the PL will save you and take hate. The thing I love most about FFXI is working together as a party, employing skill and strategy to be as effective as possible. Mindlessly zerg-ing mobs with no real strategy is boring and is not why I play FFXI.

In classic retail, PLing was done by friends rather than someone trying to flick between two game windows and still play effectively on their in-party character. It was rarer and involved someone actually giving up their time and not getting anything from it. In that context, it was a nice, rare treat to have a PL and was less expected than it is on Nasomi.

Easy way to distinguish dbox from 2 players on 1 IP: If they are on the same forum account, it's dbox. If they aren't, it's 2 players.

Better question would be if he intends to rapture all ZNM gear or at the very least PW gear once he fixes ToAU / ZNM system(assuming he ever does). Not having to grind zeni/pops for access to higher tiered ZNMs is why there's so many in circulation and commonly seen at the moment on Samurai with nq amemet mantles and spike earrings. Once they're fixed, that number will shift the opposite way dramatically. Till the hagun ENM is added anyway lol

Agreed. PW should not be as accessible as it is now, let alone killed with a party of 6. This is a 75 cap server in 2005 era yet everyone (including myself) has a Hachi body for a couple mil. Pathetic. Do we really want every WAR, NIN, SAM, and MNK all wearing the same overpowered shit? If this keeps up, that ridiculously powerful body piece will keep dropping lower and lower in price until the entire server has one. Do we really want that?

Either make Hachi body and GA rare/ex, remove them from the game, or make it more difficult to kill PW, and one way is to make the 99 lvl mobs UNCHARMABLE.
