I'm not completely certain the exact date of the server, but once you get in and rolling, you'll have a good feel for it, I think. So just jump in and start murdering innoc...I mean protecting the realm!

Well, if I remember correctly, there is a page on the forum somewhere with the quests that are bugged. But by and large, you likely won't run into many bugged quests. The official ffxi wiki pages still can provide really good info even about the server. Food, quests, money making,etc.

HI, I played from 2004 to 2014
paid faithfully then more and more changes. I felt bad about myself and the time to max level every weapon and magic skill. 99 everything and every party has under skilled mak\ges and tanks. They just got to high level fast. damn book burns.
I wasn't against the low level exp gifts, but for that system to be active after 30 when skills matter just made me quit.

Felt it you put in exp boosters, maybe after 30, 45 the latest those types of books should become inactive. But that was just me.
I was every happy to learn of a worked out private server. Had JUST found out about it a month ago!

Amazing work. Just awesome. Now the work put in matters. the skills actually matter.
