So I'm making spark daggers for skillups, and wanted to desynth them afterwards. FFXI wiki says that this should be a lightning crystal plus the spark dagger. I tried this and it won't go. Tried wind or fire crystals, also no go. I've had issues with other items not being craftable (Lady Bells), but that was a WOTG item. Spark dagger, IIRC, was present fairly early on. That, and I can synth it no problem.

Anyone else have experiences with item desynth not working for some items?

there's a handful of +1 items that cant be desynthed, for example Targe +1
