This is a common misconception that everyone with a relic participated in these shenanigans. YES there was a group of people doing it. YES this group was able to get 1 relic per run. For the majority of players especially active ones, this was never even an option.

I do agree that it is a shame the server isn't set up as more of a long term stay. Though it does seem through recent changes he is trying to make everyone's stay last longer.

It's natural when you think about it. Retail had an expansion every year to give players new content to do. However, nasomi doesn't go beyond cop with a bit of toau. Even if everything worked great, we have 3ish years of content. Nas could release a fully functional toau tomorrow, and you'd have 1 year of content, give or take. Then what? the demand for content comes up again. Introduce wotg? I don't want to say it's a flaw, but it's sort of a built in design limitation in a best case scenario.

CoP being a shitty, buggy experience at best is sadly not exclusive to Nasomi. It's a common issue among most private servers.

I know of far smaller servers that also have much more frequent larger updates, and have even implemented custom content work arounds for content that isn't functional yet. This is due to them having a fully fledged development team who all work on coding different parts of the game. I don't expect the same from a one man "team." Though it sort of makes me wish Nasomi had a development team similar to those servers, but only if they had no GM privileges.. too much room for abuse of power.

can you imagine devoting that much effort/time into coding a server that like 30 people play on?

I think some of them legitimately just do it for the fun of it lol, but yeah it's quite the shame they choose to not advertise their servers or make their code more available. Some of them are quite talented

How about Veteran players help new players with hard/annoying quests? That should keep you busy, unless you don't really help players and just say you do.
