Hi,

Looking at chat log timers, using /fish at every available chance, I got "You didn't catch anything" for 7 minutes before my next bite. I've had this a few times now taking 5-8 minutes between bites, thinking back to retail it didn't seem this bad?

Would like to know if fishing is normal after the update. I couldn't catch anything and heard some ppl saying you would crash if didnt complete the minigame.

Just sounds like bad luck to me.


Nah, that's not quite what happened. Just wait a few seconds after having a no-bite cast right now til it's fixed.

Happened 3 times in 1 hour, I hit 24 'no bite' messages. Zoning seemed to help.

What fishing skill are you at? If you're still in Selbina by chance, that's pretty normal there

Fishing is still bugged in Sauromugue. If you dont reel in rusty buckets and let the minigame end your character can't fish or move. Only solution i found its to shutdown and relogin.

I've also had the lock up/ freeze when cancelling my casts. I can also say the op is correct. I witnessed an entire group of 5+ people casting in sandoria catch absolutely nothing for 6 minutes straight out of nowhere. Previously it was almost a constant stream of people catching catfish. I don't know if this is some intended functionality or not but it was certainly odd to witness.

Still broken in certain zones. If you choose to not reel in an item or a monster, you have to force relog.
