As much as I see both sides of the coin on this, the combination of the fact that the majority of the server already has gotten it relatively easy with their relics up until now, and the fact that retail Relics were ungodly difficult to get, I think it should be fixed. Sorry wolf, but as much as I'd love to stay true to retail, Relics are quite possibly the hardest things to obtain in gaming history. A years worth of effort from 20-50+ people shouldnt get one person an item. Design-wise it just doesnt make sense. These are toys we should be able to use, on multiple jobs, as long as we put a lot of time and gil into them. Not something we maybe, sorta, kinda hope we'll get at the very end of our gaming life.

Update re: claim system giving drops/exp on white mobs - nas has been working since the issue was discovered, every day, on getting it fixed. This isn't something he's just ignoring - it's just taking him time.

I'm still not convinced that the new system solves all that much. The thing most dunes parties complain about are PLs tanking 5 mobs for the party they are PLing, and this does nothing to solve that issue (assuming nas sees it as an issue). The fact that this patch has created so many issues (beyond just Dynamis) seems to scream for a reversion.

On that note, a new (presumed) bug:
If you have a two person party and only one mob claimed, one party member zoning will nevertheless cause that mob to go white.

Once uppon a time on Nasomi, it would take you one (1) Dynamis-Jeuno to get enough currencies for a Relic.

These days, you need a group of 3, 4 or 5 players (depending if dual boxes) with the very right jobs, some merits, good gears and some experience at how to run Dyna-Bubu. IF you got all that, and everyone in the group gets a fair share of currencies, it's still gonna take 2-3 months of running almost daily. And that's assuming Dyna-Bubu is available (which it isn't all the time at all).

Considering this is a private server where one probably won't stay for more than a year or so (since no new contents), the amount of required work to obtain a relic seems pretty reasonable to me. Neither too hard, or too easy.

Like I said, I realize I'm in the minority. That's all fine to think, but don't complain that relics aren't easy enough to get while also complaining that we don't have any content left. (not you specifically, in general)

Yeah - like I said, I'd prefer him to revert the change because of all the other things it broke. I'd just like him to lower the currency drop rate in Bubu or lengthen how long until you can reenter Dynamis, personally.

You can say that all you want, but there's really no way to convince me that having one of a few jobs leveled is the only realistic way to obtain a relic right now is the intended and healthy purpose of what was supposed to be the end-all content for this era. Sorry.

To me it's not reasonable to let some people run around with 5 "free" relics obtained in a ridiculous way years ago while now telling people that are putting an actual decent amount of work to get one that they're gonna have to work even harder for it. We can agree to disagree though, it's fine !
