You're right it shouldn't be this way, but it is. This is one man's pet project/hobby, so unless someone correctly codes ZNMs/Zeni/Soultrappers and sends it to him, I don't see him undertaking that whole endeavor by himself. Not to mention I'd rather he fix things that have been broken for 12months+(SAM AF3, Black Belt, etc.) rather than take content away by removing ZNMs.

Nasomi isn't retail CoP/ToAU, it will never be either of those things. The best way to describe this server is "in the spirit of CoP FFXI with some ToAU content".


I agree. I was under the assumption ZNMs worked on other servers. If not then Im torn between keeping them or not.

Really should be the tagline instead of "Heroes are what you make them." Might blunt some of the whining when something isn't 1:1 retail era.

This is the dragon's mien. It has the stink of a red herring that obscures the merits of the bug bitchings and the fairness plaints. The tagline created by Nasomi, the one that almost makes a grammatical mistake, tells me that he understands the hero. Drops concern him not. He loves death. The hero willingly dies to consummate the archetype. They are unmade and then made eternal by their relational choices, not by possessions, titles, bragging rites. If you think you can /c that, then your role is the alazon. The tagline affirms the old difference between the hero and the celebrity, as described by Joseph Campbell. It implicates and hardens the selfish, for they grow weary of empathy and become the grotesque winged hoarders of legend that we must choose either to avoid or to attack.

Zoning seems to fix the issue.
I think I've root caused it as possibly having two characters talking to the moogle at once. Who ever engages 2nd gets no reaction from the menu.

That or I've just had some dumb luck the last few days and my alt keeps getting screwed
