I recently fought shiva for the summoner pet quest and lost the fight then the game immediately gave an error and said shutdown. It did not let me log back in for about 4 hours now because the server thinks i am still logged in.
I tried these things:
1. Clearing Session from maintenance
2. Restart computer and recycling connection
3. Declining TOS at launch

I got these troubleshooting ideas from the wiki troubleshooting website.

Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

EDIT: CLEAR SESSION IS NOW WORKING AGAIN
You should be able to log in after using clear session under maintenance now.

Nas will have to unstuck you so good idea that you went to Naschat already Gotta wait until he wakes up and hope he sees this or your Naschat message

yeah there is a lot of people stuck he prob will have to do a server reset to unstick us all

Same problem! Zoning into East Ronfaure caused this for me. If any of you find a way, let me know because I know yet another guy who has the same problem.

i was in horutoto ruins with a friend, a NM showed up and killed me. When i tryed to go to my HP, the screen went black (but with the music and i could see one "line" of the game on a border of the screen). So, after like 1~2minutes i closed the game window.
I tryed all the things listed above, and i'm still stuck (it was 10pm, it's 8 am right now...)

when im trying to log on, it's long and after some time i have a "FFXI-3113 protocol time out error" message.
